BURSARIES
With the generous contribution of many CAGP Chapters, as well as other partners and supporters, we are pleased to offer a number of conference bursaries so gift planning professionals can access this outstanding professional opportunity.
The CAGP Conference Bursary Program is intended to enable both charity gift planners and professional advisors to participate in this outstanding professional development opportunity where financial constraints are a barrier to access.
We also seek to strengthen cultural diversity among our delegates. As such, while anyone may apply for a bursary, we do prioritize applications from those in small organizations or companies with limited professional development budgets, and from members of diverse communities.
We have two types of bursary available this year:
- Equity Access Bursaries (for CAGP members and non-members)
- CAGP Chapter-sponsored Bursaries (for CAGP members only)Â

Equity
Access Bursaries
CAGP members and non-members who identify as belonging to an equity seeking community are encouraged to apply for a bursary to attend the CAGP National Conference. Non-member recipients of this bursary also receive one complimentary CAGP membership, good for one year.
Equity Access Bursary Qualifications
We are seeking applicants who are actively working in the field of fundraising/gift planning and would like to attend the CAGP National Conference but may not have the means to do so. These Equity Access bursaries are open to both CAGPÂ members and non-members.Â
Coverage
National bursaries cover the cost of early-bird registration plus $1500 toward travel and accommodation. Local bursaries for Edmonton area residents cover the Conference registration for a local delegate and a $250 stipend.
Applications open on December 2, 2024 and close on January 20, 2025.
CAGP
Chapter-sponsored Bursaries
CAGP Chapter-sponsored Bursaries are allocated to support both members affiliated with a local Chapter or within a specific community as well as members from elsewhere in Canada.
That means, even if your Chapter or an organization from your community is not sponsoring a bursary you are still encouraged to apply.

Application Procedure
To assist you in compiling the necessary information to complete the application process, we recommend downloading the pdf of the application questions available here and reviewing in advance.
Please note, subsequent to completing the application, you may be asked to provide your organization’s most recent audited financial statements.
If your conference attendance is contingent upon receiving a bursary, do not register for the conference in advance. Registration instructions will be provided with notification of your successful application. If you do register in advance and then receive a bursary, you will get reimbursed.
All qualifying applications will be reviewed by the CAGP Conference Bursary Committee.Â
Applications open on December 2, 2024 and close on January 20, 2025.Â
